Dominique Bertail
Fascinated by comics since his early childhood, Dominique Bertail studied Fine Arts in Angoulême. At the Academy, he met Thierry Smolderen, a writer with whom he created the diptich 'L'Enfer des Pelgram' at Delcourt in 1998 and 2000. He also met Josephe and Pat Cab, with whom he maintained the site coconino-world.com for four years.
He is the author of the albums 'L'Homme Tableau' (2000) and 'L'Homme Nuit' (2002), that were published by Alain Beaulet. He has worked with writer Thierry Smolderen on 'L'Enfer des Pelgram' (Delcourt, 1998-2000) and the futuristic thriller 'Ghost Money' (Dargaud, 2008 onwards). In 2004, he began the series 'Shandy' with writer Matz at Delcourt. Dominique Bertail is furthermore active as an illustrator (Bayard, Fluide Glacial, Casterman) and a story-board artist (advertising and cinema).
