Halim
Halim Mahmoudi is a French journalist, artist, and author, whose work spans many different genres.
After studying graphic arts in Amiens, he first went to work as a press illustrator and comics artist. He also began to lead illustration and writing workshops, as well as teaching classes at various schools and universities.
In 2009, he published Arabico (Soleil), which was nominated as one of the best books of the year by Franco Info, and in 2014, his graphic novel Un monde libre (Des Ronds dans l'O) also made a strong impact, becoming a part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Immigration History.
Most recently, in 2017, Halim published the powerful graphic novel Petite maman (Dargaud; Little Mama, Europe Comics 2018), which tells the story of a young girl's incredible courage in the face of abuse.
Beyond comics, Halim's projects also include a number of children's books and press illustrations, published the world over.
