Barbara Canepa
Born in Genoa, Barbara Canepa studied architecture, and started out working as an advertising artist.
In 1996, she began a collaboration with the Walt Disney Company, and illustrated for Disney magazines, books and merchandise. For three years, she was the cover artist of the magazine La Sirenetta and its follow-up Principesse Disney, while also providing interior story art for both magazines.
Starting in 1998, she has worked as an illustrator for Disney Records, Clementoni and De Agostini.
As a character designer and illustrator, she has participated in several projects of Disney Italy. Together with her husband Alessandro Barbucci, she he has created comics and illustrations for PK and other magazines. She helped launch the successful 'W.i.t.c.h.' title in 1997.
Also with Barbucci and in that same year, she created the SF saga 'Sky Doll', published in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Russia, etc.
She also supervises the production of 'Monster Allergy' material.
