Guillaume Long was born in Geneva in 1977.
He discovered his passion for cooking at a young age, while spending many an hour watching his mother working away at the stove. Having graduated from the Saint-Etienne School of Fine Arts in 2002, he was awarded the Prix Töpffer the following year for his illustrated book Les Sardines Sont Cuites. In parallel to his journalistic work, this food-lover is forever cooking up new ideas for books.
Since 2009, he has been behind (To Eat and to Drink; À boire et à manger), an online melting pot of cusine and comics hosted by the Le Monde website.
