Alessio Lapo

Alessio Lapo

Alessio Lapo was born in Italy in 1974.

At 22, he graduated from a comics school in Milan, and got his start working on a project alongside two scriptwriters for Disney.

However, he had to interrupt his budding career to complete his military service. Upon his return, he became a contributor to publisher Sergio Bonelli, while restoring frescoes in parallel to make ends meet.

In 2001, his series Armadel was published by the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, and following that, he was invited by French scriptwriter Laurent Bullier to collaborate on the series Antoine Sèvres. Volumes one and two of the historical adventure series were published in 2005 and 2006 by Les Humanoïdes Associés.

Over the years, he has continued to take on new projects in the Franco-Belgian market, for publishers such as Glénat and Soleil, and in 2013 he was invited to work with author Thilde Barboni on the third volume of the crime fiction series Agence Interpol (Dupuis; Interpol, Europe Comics), set in Rome.
