If the Sterns are brave and resolute, they are also ignorant of American ways – and bring with them a multitude of baffling customs. And as if that wasn't enough, the extremely valuable Torah that travels with them has caught the eyes of some unsavoury characters...

While taking part in a rodeo in Wisconsin, Lucky Luke and Jolly Jumper meet Mario Bombardier, a Quebecois cowboy, and his mare the beautiful Province. It’s love at first sight for the two horses, and after the inevitable separation, Jolly Jumper can’t stop moping. Eventually Luke decides to head to Quebec in order to arrange a reunion – and discovers the merry atmosphere of the Nouvelle France: mounted police, bar fights, poutine, traditional French songs ... and an unscrupulous, wealthy banker...

Lucky Luke 053 — Nitroglycerin

Two companies are competing to build the intercontinental railway. When one sends saboteurs to intercept the powder needed to pierce tunnels through the mountains, the other calls upon Lucky Luke to protect a last chance convoy. The problem is, it’s not powder that gets loaded onto the train this time – it’s nitroglycerin! And as if that wasn’t enough, the saboteurs are still around ... and the Daltons are convinced the train is full of gold!

Lucky Luke 054 — Rodeo

Lucky Luke arrives at Navajo City just in time to sign up for the town’s big rodeo. But the prize money promised to the winner is attracting some unsavoury types, and among the participating cowboys is one Cactus Kid, an unrepentant bully and outlaw. The clash is inevitable, both in and outside the arena, and Luke will have to fight with his customary aplomb and humour – before riding off to new adventures.

Lucky Luke 055 — Arizona

A gang operating around Nugget City is attacking stage coaches to steal gold shipments. After rescuing the driver of one of them, Lucky Luke arrives in town just in time to stop the murderous intents of a cheat. Pursuing the scoundrel after an epic bar fight, Luke finds out he’s a member of the gang, and will have to arrest him and the others before riding on to new adventures on the other side of the Rio Grande.

Lucky Luke arrives in Nugget Gulch in the company of another lonesome rider, John 'The Philanthropist' Smith. The town is buzzing with excitement over the coming horserace, and the considerable prize promised to the winner. Financially embarrassed, Luke signs up, counting on his exceptional mount to ensure victory. Unfortunately, Jolly Jumper is stolen just before the race! The lonesome cowboy will have to get by without his old friend back this time.

Lucky Luke 057 — Legends of the West

If the Old West is so well known, it’s in no small part because some of its own legends made sure they were recognised in their own time – like Buffalo Bill Cody and his Wild West shows. When Colonel Cody asks Lucky Luke to join his show, though, the lonesome cowboy humbly refuses, before jokingly suggesting recruiting the Daltons instead – after all, their stupidity is quite legendary! A simple jest that will lead to many high jinks...

Lucky Luke 042 — Lone Riders

After their umpteenth defeat at Lucky Luke’s hands, the Dalton brothers get into a big argument that ends with the four of them splitting up. They make a deal: Whoever is first to get a million dollars will be the leader of the gang. Going their separate ways, trying various schemes, each spreads his own kind of mayhem, forcing poor Lucky Luke to do four times the work to keep up with their antics !

Lucky Luke 058 — The Dalton’s Stash

Transferred to a new penitentiary, the Daltons are put in a cell with Fennimore Buttercup, a counterfeiter who soon begins to regret having such noisy cellmates. To get rid of the annoying brothers, he sends them on the trail of his – made-up – stash: $100,000 buried at the foot of a boulder in Red Rock Junction. One prison escape later, pursued by Lucky Luke, they discover to their horror that the spot they seek ... is inside another penitentiary!
